What did you say? The Smellovision isn’t working? Hmm…I’ll have to look into that.

Strawberry Fields, Forever…
I went strawberry pickin’ at a local farm in Rochester. Not really ‘local’ for me, considering it was more than 30 miles away.
I hadn’t done this since I was little, and I didn’t wear the right shoes. If you are interested in doing something like this, please, wear sneakers. It gets really muddy in the strawberry patches.
You can’t imagine how good this field smelled. It was soooo sweet. You could taste the berries in the air.

My mom decided to use this giant carton to carry our berries. I think we picked around 5 pounds of strawberries.

Looks like 5 pounds of berries, doesn’t it?

Took them home and ate some.

Using my new goblet I found at a garage sale for this photo.

I will be posting my recipe for HOMEMADE STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM tomorrow! Aren’t you excited? I’m excited enough for the both of us!!!
And it’s made WITHOUT an ice cream maker! No need to buy a fancy machine, you won’t believe how easy it is!

Photos are beautiful as always! i love strawberries. On my blog, you’ll notice I have more strawberry-related desserts.
Mmmm mmm. I look forward to checking them out! :)
Hey, I’m in Rochester too! (I thought you might be with the Wegman’s food and Dinosaur BBQ from the pulled pork recipe) ;)
My friend and I want to go strawberry picking this weekend, but haven’t been before. Would you recommend the farm you went to? Which one was it?
I’m definitely going to try the ice cream recipe when we get back. :)
Hey fellow Rochestarian! You know…I almost put the name of the farm down, then thought, who in ROCHESTER is gonna be reading this blog? Haha…

wow!! nice shots candy :)
Hi Candy,
Thanks for the tip on the fruit farm. We ended up going to Gro-moore outside of Henrietta. Jams and ice-creams have been made. The icecream came out great, thanks for the recipe!
Thanks for YOUR tip! I didn’t know Henrietta had any farms with strawberries to pick. That’s way more convenient, I’ll have to find that place this week.
And you’re welcome! :)
