Dear Readers,

Please celebrate with me on my 100th post. *balloons dropping*

Have some cake. And a beer. It’s on me.

I’m going on a much needed vacation. Don’t worry, the posts are going to be spewed out daily next week, thanks to WordPress’s ‘scheduled spewing out of posts’ tool. It makes me look prolific, when I’m not.

Along with the blogging (one of the few things I enjoy), I have spent hours and hours each day shooting, editing, and submitting photos to microstock agencies. It’s been wearing me down. I didn’t even go to the gym this week. I haven’t packed for vacation. I haven’t cleaned the apartment and I have guests coming tomorrow. I NEED TO MAKE FOOD TOMORROW AND I HAVE NO IDEAS!!!

How do I keep a food blog and have no ideas on what to make for guests? That’s how much my brain is fried.

Aside from all that, I need to get away from all the negativity in my life. It’s been dragging me down, tiring me out, and I need a good pick me up. I need nature, peace, relaxation, fun, alcohol. Oh, I need alcohol.

Hopefully I come back with funny stories about how many times I fell off my kayak, and how I nearly rode off a cliff with my mountain bike (knock on wood).

And of course, pictures of our food adventures.

Your BFF,

Candy

Jackie – thanks for the great ideas! I just got back from my camping trip and am just reading your comment now. So I guess I will have to try some of these the NEXT time the whole family comes up! :)
Since I panicked wondering what to make my guests, I made EVERYTHING. No theme, no thought as to which dishes would complement each other.
    I made:
    Black Cherry Ice Cream
    Strawberry Ice Cream
    Raspberry Sauce for ice cream
    Nectarine & Raspberry Galette
    Pork and Chive potstickers
    Olive Cheese Bread
    Stuffed Mushrooms
    Pajun (korean seafood pancake)

I might’ve went overboard. But I’ll hafta explain why in a post soon!

Nora – Thank you. I took over 400 photos during my trip. I will have to start sorting them and posting soon! I missed all you guys and am thankful for all the great comments this week!
