Chiara - I'm tempted to say much worse things as well. I have a bunch of posts that got put away and never published because of my tantrums. I'm usually pretty content, but every once in awhile...haha. On foodnetwork cooking shows, you know how many times they have to reshoot steps? It only looks perfect to us. Imagine how many times the celebrity chefs probably scream and cuss when the camera isn't shooting :P

Sean - hell yea!!!

Don't let them bother you, the blog is yours and you can say "suck it" as much as you want. Sometimes I'm tempted to write things that are far worse than suck it... I think real people that cook real meals in real kitchens will sometimes get frustrated or angry and will scream and cuss at the stove/fridge/souffle... all the others who don't must be Martha-like robots with perfect lives and perfect kitchens. Good for them, I guess. As for us, we'll keep saying "suck it"!

Catalina - thank you so much! I'm in a happier mood today, no more 'suck it's' anymore, hehe....

April - I used 'keepin it real' once a long time ago, but it didn't work for me...I felt awkward. Haha.

Sometimes, I think of how funny it'd be to write an entire post in the 3rd person, and refer to 'Soupbelly' as its own entity. Like, for the pretentiousness factor. Like...'We at Soupbelly believe...' or 'Soupbelly likes kung pao chicken'.

I'd hug your "suck it" if I could. And I mean that in the most NON-creepy way possible, I swear. If the term "keepin it real" didn't bug me so much that's how I would describe one of the reasons I enjoy your posts so much. You are funny..and I love me some funny. People who share the good along with the bad in the kitchen and life (which go hand in hand for me) are the folks I enjoy reading most. Nothing pretentious or stuffy.

Keep on bein' you, it's why we're here. :o)
