I’ve been hard at work apartment hunting in San Diego. So far, I picked up the rental car, walked on the beach, ate seafood by the beach as I watched the sunset, and went window shopping. I know, I know, it’s been hard.
But really…I’ll start the apartment search tomorrow. It was just a little too late to meet with apartment people today.
Here are a few pics of some things we saw today. Theses photos have no caked on makeup (aka photoshop) and you have to see them in their barest form. I’ll be writing specifically about the restaurants and posting more photos later on when I fly back. So bear with me on the ones I’m showing:
The gorgeous orange sunsets everyone raves about here. This is it?! :P
Clams in garlicky broth, served with some crusty bread to sop up the delicious juices.
My dish, seared Seabass on a bed of spinach and roasted tomato pasta (couscous?)
My much needed martini.
Surf and Turf, with what looks like a 3 lb. lobster tail, and purple potatoes.
Day Boat Scallops on spinach, with purple potatoes.
Crab cakes drizzled with yogurt curry sauce, with a side of arugula.
As I said, I will be posting with greater detail (and greater length) when I get back.
Wow, that is some gorgeous food! I never knew I could crave seafood at 8AM. It looks like you’re having a great time and here’s sending you more good luck on the apartment search!
Purple mashed potatoes…that’s just wrong. The crab cakes look delicious though! Can’t wait to hear more about it!

Irish Pirate – The purple mashed potatoes are from purple potatoes…they aren’t dyed purple :P They taste like normal mashed potatoes, I guess.

I am very jealous of all that food. California has some good food. I was in Agoura Hills this summer and ate like a Queen.

SLY – I’ll have to google Agoura Hills. I love the food in Cali, theres so much variety. You never have to pick the same food twice.
