I jolted out of bed in the middle of the night because I thought I heard sounds of someone breaking into our apartment.
No….it was just the rain pounding down all around us.
I can’t seem to go outside anywhere today. Since parts of roads and highways are blocked by boulders, or flooded.
Well….at least we’re not getting snow…

Welcome to SD. Don’t worry…this is a crazy amount of rain for us. This is a natural almost desert and would normally be uninhabitable for many people if not for imported water. Rain does raise oil slicks on roads (the oil builds up for months and then gets released) and rocks and dirt tend to slip and slide…but mostly it’s wonderful here. Cold weather to me means I have to shut my back door. I’ve been reading your blog for almost a year and truly enjoy it. Gwen
Where are the people kayaking in the streets? Take some crazy weather photos! I wanna see what some inclement weather looks like. Though keep the camera dry. That’s the great thing about the waterproof housings they make.. tho not really practical on SLRs i suppose.
Gwen – I guess rain showers here are the equivalent to snowstorms in the East. I’ll take rain over snow any day. :) Thanks for your support of my blog too, I always like to hear that people are actually reading it. I’m very needy… :P
Socki – are you coming to visit soon? I can make a waterproof housing for my camera. It’s called ‘a plastic bag’. :P
You should ABSOLUTELY get your fires animal style, if not your burger too. The fries just aren’t good without them animal! :D Welcome to SoCal! Love your blog.
