After decades of drinking the usual cocktails (wow, decades makes me feel so old and a little bit of an alcoholic) I decided I wanted something new. I wasn’t much of a cocktail person as most of them are overly sweet for me. But since I love everything ginger, I tried a Moscow mule at a restaurant once. After that, I was sold. No more college-y rum and cokes for me. I’m highfalutin now. Moscow mules all day.
Moscow mules consist of ginger beer, limes, vodka and served in a copper mug. It needs to be served in a copper mug guys. The copper mug is the poster boy for the mule. If you don’t make it in a copper mug your mule will burst into flames.
I’m just kidding, the vessel you put the cocktail in will not affect the taste of your drink nor will it be combustible. But you were warned.
